Fun at Cedaron
9/10/11: Cedaron CEO podiums at 2011 Pacific Grove Triathlon
On the morning of Saturday, September 10, Cedaron CEO Karen Bond raced into the water with over 1,000 other competitors to complete the 1.5k swim, 40k bike and 10k run at the historic Pacific Grove Triathlon. Despite very difficult conditions, Bond had her best triathlon finish ever, placing 3rd in her age group and earning a position on the victory podium. According to Bond, “It was really cold and windy...on the run I almost quit as I was in so much pain.” Bond showed her characteristic toughness and finished the race when other competitors were compelled to drop out. Bond has been on a roll lately having recently set a new personal record (PR) of 31:15 at the Davis Wheel Works 10 mile time trial. Based on these results, we can expect big things from Bond in the upcoming California TT in Italy!
